This policy explains what personal data HLP Data ("we", "us") handles when you visit hlpdata.com, buy a dataset, or write to us. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].

3. Website Analytics (Umami, no cookies)
We use Umami Cloud, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to see how the site is used. Umami does not set cookies.
- What is collected: aggregate page views (which page, the referring site, browser, device type and country) and anonymous events: clicks on buy buttons, sample file downloads and email links. No form content or email address is sent.
- What is not done: no personal profiles, no tracking across other websites, and no advertising or ad targeting.
- IP addresses: your IP address is not stored by us. Umami’s own handling is described in the Umami privacy policy.
- How to opt out: use a content blocker that blocks
cloud.umami.is. The site works the same without analytics.
4. Browser Storage
This site sets no cookies of its own. It stores one local flag, hlpdata:swarm-seen, to remember that this browser has already seen the introductory cursor animation. The flag contains no identifier or personal information and is not sent to us. It keeps the introduction from playing again on reloads, later visits or other pages on this site. Clearing site data removes this flag. Light or dark display follows your device setting. Earlier theme and language keys (hlp_theme, hlp_lang) are no longer read or written. The site never looks up your IP address or location.
5. Purchases (Payhip, PayPal, Stripe)
Dataset purchases are processed by Payhip, which takes card and PayPal payments through PayPal or Stripe. On some pages the Payhip checkout opens on top of our page using Payhip’s script; Payhip’s own privacy policy applies to the checkout. We never see your full card details. Payhip shares with us the order details needed to deliver and support your purchase, such as your name, email address, the product bought and the amount paid.
The monthly report subscription is billed directly by PayPal. When you subscribe, PayPal gives us the details needed to deliver the report and keep accounting records, such as your name, email address and the subscription and payment references. We never receive your card details, and PayPal’s own privacy statement applies to the payment.
6. Emails and Custom Data Requests
When you email [email protected] or [email protected], we use your name, email address and the content of your message to answer your request, prepare quotes, deliver data and issue invoices. When you send the custom data form, its fields (name, work email, company, websites, coverage, fields, schedule, delivery, timing, budget range and notes) and your IP address are sent to our server at admin.hlpdata.com, stored there so we can reply, and forwarded to our private team notification channel (Discord). Your IP address is used only to limit abuse (at most a few requests per hour). We keep requests for up to 24 months, or delete them sooner if you ask at [email protected].
We do not sell, rent or trade your contact details.
7. Hosting and Third-Party Resources
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may log visitor IP addresses for security purposes. Pages also load the Umami analytics script from cloud.umami.is, fonts from Google Fonts, icons from unpkg and, on pages with a buy button, the Payhip checkout script from payhip.com; these providers receive your IP address when your browser fetches those files.
8. Your Rights and Contact
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you (for example, your emails and order records), subject to records we must keep for accounting purposes. Analytics data is aggregate and anonymous, so it cannot be linked back to you. Send requests to:
